In its 4th year, SFWFF, is an annual event that screens and honors the contributions in women’s cinema. SFWFF’s mission is to honor, showcase and facilitate the creation of films that are directed or co-directed by women. SFWFF plays a critical role in the health and vitality of our community through access to arts, film and cultural events. SFWFF reaches, inspires, and strengthens a multitude of community members and film lovers with the work of underrepresented female voices around the world throughout the year. SFWFF offers a variety of free to low-cost screenings and educational programs to the community led by celebrities, professors and notable figures in the world of film.
We are working on another year of dynamic films, panel discussions, and events filled with entertainment, great people, food, and a diverse group of film lovers. Next year’s program includes: Animation for Children, Documentary and Activism, Lesbian and Gay Cinema, Films by Youth, Horror and Sci-Fi. We hope you will help us build on the success of last year’s festival and make next year’s film festival the best ever.
